ISO’Link
In the spring of 2020, many people for the first time eagerly looked forward to returning to campus/office, instead of facing ZOOM's window in their rooms day after day --- the pandemic not only controlled our physical freedom, but also closed our minds.
But there are chances for us to alone together.
But there are chances for us to alone together.
In order to make online communities who cannot be separated from the Internet but
suffer from a sense of nihilism and loneliness feel relieved in the post-epidemic era, ISO’Link, containing a VR headset and an app was designed in the project. The phone-insertable VR glass reflects other audience's watching and emotions with temperature variation and scent dispersion, and communicates feelings with interactive gestures. Use the app and the headset to gaze at a scene unfolding somewhere in the world, all the while delicately sensing the silent companionship of other audiences.

Context

ISO'Link
ISO'Link is a phone-insertable VR headset designed to be used in conjunction with an app. It employs temperature changes, scent dispersion, and gesture control on the front panel to let users feel the presence of others. As your skin gradually senses warmth, it indicates that more people are joining you to watch the same video.

In accordance with the content being viewed by the audience, specific scents will be emitted (within a certain range of selection).
The soft padding on the facial and eyeglass contact area can be easily removed through magnetic attraction for convenient cleaning purposes.
